Following it would plunge them into darkness before revealing a new light further ahead. Is it a benevolent spirit leading people home or a vengeful monster leading people astray?

The story of staying in the light...to avoid what awaits in the darkness. A lone soba cart with no owner to be found sits along the canal. The lantern that hangs from it stays perpetually lit with no oil to fuel it. Does a spirit reside in the lantern, keeping it lit to ward off danger?
